Can
anyone be hypnotized? |
The
misconception that hypnosis is for the weak minded is not true. I have found
in my experience and in research that most anyone of normal or above intelligence
can be hypnotized. The key is that the individual understands what hypnosis
is and how it works. The individual must also be committed to and want the
desired change. It they do hypnosis is a great wellness tool to make positive
changes. |

Is
hypnosis sleep? |
Contrary
to popular belief you are not asleep like at bedtime. You may look and resemble
a person in sleep, but the literal state of hypnosis is not related to sleep
as we know it. The word ‘sleep’ is often used in hypnosis as signal for
relaxation. You are in a wonderful state of physical and mental relaxation.
You are at no time asleep or unconscious. Hypnosis is like a mental massage. |
|
Can
I get "stuck" in hypnosis? |
No.
You cannot get stuck in hypnosis. Remember you are not asleep or unconscious.
You can come out of hypnosis at anytime you want. You are the one in control.
If something were to happen to me while you were experiencing hypnosis you
would get bored with the silence and open your eyes. |
|
Is
hypnosis evil or of the occult? |
No.
I am a Christian and I would not be involved with hypnosis if that were
the case. Unfortunately hypnosis sometimes gets associated with other things.
I have read the Bible from front to back many times and I’ve never read
anything that indicates any reason for concern about hypnosis. Hypnosis
is a natural state that most everyone has experienced at some point in there
life. Some examples are when you’re driving down the road and go past your
exit, losing track of time, when you are watching a movie and you forget
who is sitting next to you or when someone calls your name and you don’t
hear them. Many doctors and dentists use hypnosis to help their patients.
I’ve had clients of all faiths enjoy and benefit from hypnosis. |
|
Can
I be made to do silly things or something against my will? |
No.
Hypnosis is a consent state. The individual is control the entire time.
You would never do anything against your will or moral character. If hypnosis
worked that way then every bad person in the world would be using it. Hypnosis
can only affect you the way you want it to. You hear and are aware of everything
that is said and done. I had a weight loss client who I gave the suggestion
that she may prefer to eat chicken rather than red meat and she opened her
eyes and sat up and told me she forgot to tell me she was a vegetarian.
My suggestion didn’t make her want to run out to Kentucky Fried Chicken.
The ability to be hypnotized depends entirely on the individual. They are
always in control. |
|
Will
I reveal personal secrets while in hypnosis? |
No.
Hypnosis is not a “truth serum.” You will not reveal or talk about anything
you wouldn’t normally discuss anyway. In hypnosis you don’t lose control,
you gain control. You can take control to lose weight, quit smoking, relieve
stress, build confidence, and increase sales, your work or sports performance.
